To the Parents/ Guardians: Welcome to NEWTON’S LAW Learning Center. We understand that kids have different learning requirements, and we aim to adjust our program to the student’s needs. Our philosophy is to reinforce the concepts learned at school. Our instructors will work with the students, either individually or in groups, and will adjust the program based on the student’s progress. The student will visit the center once a week for 30 minutes, where he/she will work on the topic via worksheets and games played with the instructors. The student will also take worksheets home for daily practice of the subject. These worksheets should not take longer than 10 minutes to be completed. The student will take a test at the center before starting a new module, and later at the completion of the module. This test - PLACEMENT REVIEW, will evaluate the student’s starting point and later will serve as a comparison of what was learned, showing the student the results of his/her efforts. It will also help to evaluate the development of the student, together with the assessment of the instructor during the visits to the center and the completion of the worksheets at home. We welcome and encourage you to meet with us to review the development of your child. We also need your feedback, positive or negative, on the reaction of the student to the program. This will help us to ensure that the student is taking the most advantage of the program. We thank you for the opportunity of making NEWTON’S LAW Learning Center part of your child’s learning experience. Newton Barreto President |
